Maria shook her head as she came out of the Flourish and Blotts. Things were a little more expensive than she remembers. And her books were expensive too.
Adjusting everything in her arms so it would be easier to carry, Maria started walking down the street, trying to avoid hitting people and hoping that those she couldn't avoid would dodge her. She walked into Olivanders looking for her brother. Seeing that it was full, she went back outside, put her things off to one side and sat down on her books.
Maria started rubbing her back. This much reading was going to murder her this year. Sighing, she waited for her brother to get his wand and hoping to see someone she knew.

Vilana started walking through Diagon Alley, heading towards Gringotts to get money so that she could get her school supplies. Her father and Harry were with her, but they had gone off to do their own little things.
Vilana smiled. She was still getting used to seeing her father with her own eyes instead of her panther eyes. Everything seemed to be going great; except she constantly had to hide her left arm that held Voldemorts mark. She same mark he had given her when she was a child. Long before she knew who she wanted to follow.
Sighing, she remembered her duties to the Order as well as herself and started walking again. She saw a Ravenclaw girl sitting outside Ollivanders. Vilana didn't know her well, but she knew the girls name and age. And reputation for being a "know-it-all."
"Hello Maria. How are you?" Vilana asked.
Vilana tugged at her left sleeve to make sure it was hidden. The last thing she needed was for that mark to start showing.

Maria looked up. At first she didn't recognize the girl talking to her. Than she realized who it was. The daughter of Sirius Black. Maria grimaced a little. She didn't know the girl personally, at least not real well, but she knew that Vilana was a trouble maker.
"Vilana. I'm fine. How about you?" Her voice sounded a little colder than she wanted, but she couldn't help it.
Maria smiled, she hoped it would make a little difference. Maria watched Vilana tug at her left sleeve.
"There's something she's hiding from everyone. And I don't think it's a good thing." Maria thought.

Vilana detected the chill in Maria's voice. But it didn't bother her, she always seemed to be the cold side of people.
"I'm good. Just getting my last few supplies for school. What are you doing out here?" Vilana asked.
She wasn't usually this nosy but ever since she became a spy, she seemed to want all kinds of details about everything. Especially those eying her left arm like that.
Shifting a little to put her left arm behind her body, she turned her attention to her surroundings. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary; but she still wanted to make sure. She watched Maria out of the corner of her eye as she waited for her reply.

Maria watched Vilana's eyes drift in many different directions.
"I'm waiting for my brother to get his wand. He starts school this year." She replied.
She watched Vilana's eyes still drift, "I think I should be asking you if you were okay."
Maria always thought the Black girl was weird, she just didn't realize she was crazy. Maria figured it must run in the blood. Maria was almost positive that Vilana's father was crazy. She never said it out loud, but that was what she had always thought.
